A lamp that harvests its energy through bacteria in the soil

Ermi van Oers’ Living Light is an atmospheric lamp that harvests its energy from the plant living inside. Fresh from university, Ermi joined the Incubation Programme ready to bring the product to a consumer market. Living Light is created from technology developed by Plant-e that brings us one step closer to a future in which our homes are powered by plants and our cities are dependent on alternative energy sources. With the help of the Let it Grow Incubation Programme, Ermi now sees herself as both a designer and an entrepreneur.
